Testimony
There was a sibling group of three beautiful blond girls who came to us as professing atheist because their father taught them that there was no God. They believed their father, although he was their abuser. The entire time that they were here we prayed for them and with them. We had bible studies. We took them to church. These girls would not soften their hearts and accept Jesus as their savior. As their time to leave drew near, with broken hearts we continued to pray for their salvation. Then, as God would have it, I accidentally ran into their father. He was drug addicted, drained and literally on his way to commit suicide. I ministered to him. As a result he turned to the lord and has since accepted Jesus and turned his life around. Now his little girls, having heard from their earthly father that Jesus is Lord, have all accepted Christ and the entire family, now reunited, including their mother, praise be to God, now serve Him.

Every child who has stayed with us has a story. I could go on and on.  If you would like more information regarding Shofar Call Ministries email us and we will put you on our mailing list.
Prominent evangelical Christians are urging churchgoers to strongly consider adoption or foster care, not just out of kindness or biblical calling but also to answer criticism that our movement, while condemning abortion and same-sex adoption, doesn't do enough for children without parents.

"Many times, we think of orphans as 3,000 miles away," said Mark Andre, head of the new Orphan Initiative at Focus on the Family, an evangelical group heavily involved in abortion politics. "Many people don't think of foster kids as orphans. If you look at the numbers, it just really makes sense."

More than 500,000 children were in the U.S. foster care system in 2005. About 115,000 were waiting for adoption.

If you are pro-life and anti same sex adoption then you must find ways to take care of these children. As battles are won to end abortion the need for foster care will rise. States will have no option but to provide care for these children. Unless Christian foster care givers are available  the state will have no choice but to turn to same sex adoption and foster care families. We must support Christian Foster care and adoption.

Focus on the Family president Jim Daly wrote supporters that he hopes the orphan-care effort "will not only equip God's people to help meet the physical needs of orphans worldwide, but will ultimately introduce them to the eternal hope that is found in Jesus Christ."

Generally, foster children can be taken to places of worship unless parents who maintain legal rights say otherwise, while forcing religion on foster children is not allowed, by allowing children access to a Christian family environment goes a long way toward introducing them to their only true Savior.
Psalms 139: 13-16
Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out; you formed me in my mother's womb.
I thank you, High God—you're breathtaking!
Body and soul, I am marvelously made!
I worship in adoration—what a creation!
You know me inside and out,
you know every bone in my body;
You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something.
Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth;
all the stages of my life were spread out before you,
The days of my life all prepared before I'd even lived one day. - MSG

Focus on the Family

Is an un-born child a life?
James 1:26-27
26 People who think they are religious but say things they should not say are just fooling themselves. Their "religion" is worth nothing.27 Religion that God the Father accepts as pure and without fault is this: caring for orphans or widows who need help, and keeping yourself free from the world's evil influence.
